My pursuit of stuttering education and best practices lead me on a journey lasting over a decade. It sent me from Colorado to Wyoming, to New Zealand, to Texas, and finally back to my home state to bring stutter-affirming practices to my community. My perspective and philosophy for stuttering assessment and treatment is the culmination of research evidence, talking with people who stutter, and my experiences ranging from traditional stuttering therapy to the C.A.R.E. model and everything in-between. I can’t wait to share with you what I have learned from working with what is now hundreds of people who stutter across 3 continents and counting.

FAQs

  • Due to the digital nature of these courses, they are not refundable.

  • You can earn ASHA CEUs through the ASHA CE Registry, or you can track your own PDHs if you choose not to join the Registry. You can also use your PDHs to self-report your participation for certification maintenance compliance requirements, such as DEI, Ethics, and Supervision (just keep your certificate at the end of the course)!

To accumulate PDHs, you must select learning activities that are related to clinical practice, within the Scope of Practice in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, and meet the definition of professional development. You can complete an unlimited number of PDHs online, and you don't need to get prior approval from ASHA for the activities you choose. However, you must complete them during your 3-year maintenance interval or to reinstate your ASHA certification.
